Pozza di Fassa

Pozza is located in the heart of the Val di Fassa, surrounded by the Cima Undici and Cima Dodici and with a fantastic view on the Torri del Vajolet. Thanks to its sulfurous water, unique in Trentino, the natural Spa Centro Terme Dolomia is the ideal place for those who want to spend a healty and relaxing holiday and regenerate body and mind.

The Val San Nicolò is famous in summer among climbers and walkers, offering a great variety of excursions apt for all the family members leading to Valle del Vajolet and Val Monzoni and is very popular in winter for its huts open at night with food and entertainment.

The Buffaure ski area with its 25 km slopes is a winter paradise for ski fans, with one of the longest slopes in the whole valley, starting at 2.050 m and leading back to town. From the cabins of the Buffaure lift one can enjoy a 360° view on the Catinaccio, the Latemar, the Sassolungo group, the Monzoni chain and the Val Giumela. Thanks to the direct link to the Ciampac skiarea, the Buffaure is closer to the Belvedere ski area than ever, in fact, one can ski down to Alba di Canazei and reach the starting point of the Sellaronda, Canazei, in a few minutes by skibus. The "Ski Stadium Aloch" lighted at night, is open three times a week for night skiing, and hosts important international competition and the training of the Italian ski team. The Ciancoal cross-country rink is the ideal place to practise sport in contact with nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

In Pera di Fassa, 1 km far from Pozza, birthplace of Tita Piaz, the first alpinist nicknamed as "The Devil of the Dolomites, one can see Hotel Rizzi, an historical building, attended in the past by princes and important personalities.
