Cycling path and in winter crosscountry!

In Val di Fassa and Fiemme the preparations for Marcialonga are underway for its forty-fifth edition.

The route is completely snow-covered and prepared ad hoc for over 7000 participants, including professionals and amateurs also called bisons. A beautiful sporting experience that winds its way from Moena to Canazei on the orographic right of the Avisio river and back to Canazei Cavalese partly on the right and partly on the left. You can find more details at this link www.marcialonga.it

The route of the race goes largely on what is then the cycle path in the summer, our beautiful “Dolomite cycle path”. It is a magnificent route that connects Canazei (m1465) to Molina di Fiemme (m965) for a total development of about 48 km. The route is almost completely paved (also accessible to pedestrians) and has a width of about 3 m.

It is suitable for cyclists who can walk the two valleys of Fiemme and Fassa away from traffic enjoying unforgettable views but also, and above all, to families with children. There are in fact numerous areas equipped with woods and meadows for stops and picnics, but above all there is the possibility to pedal only downhill and false flat counting on Fiemme and Fassa Bike Express for the return. The Express bus is equipped with a trailer for bikes and allows you to enjoy the “two wheels” effortlessly! Along the cycle path there are 15 stops served by the Bike Express which has several daily trips, morning and afternoon.

In the last two years, along the way, “bike-grill” have been opened where you can stop for a drink, a snack or even to eat for lunch or dinner

All to try and to taste for the beautiful scenery where it is immersed with the wonderful Dolomite peaks that surround the picturesque villages and vast green spaces of meadows and woods!
